She has taught at Orms School of Photography and Vega college in Cape Town. She received another award from EyeEm for Most Eye-Catching Pictures of the year in 2017.
Dreamscapes and strong colours are prominent in her work whether she is shooting a lifestyle campaign, landscape or fashion editorial. She has a contagious laugh and a determination beyond her years, along with an incredible eye for the sublime and a willingness to hop in a car/truck/plane/ sidecar/boat without notice if it means she can shoot something interesting. Brigitte wanted to expand her expertise, so in 2017 she began to Load and Camera Assist and hopes to D.O.P in the future. She is represented in her home country and internationally for her photography work.
«I always say, I want my work to be visually arresting. I think and often feel in imagery and so I want your senses to wake up! You must taste it, hear it, and take a moment from your crazy, busy life to feel it. Then I've won the battle. I enjoy playing with metaphors and layers of ideas, pairing things that shouldn't be paired, like sassy, quirky comments but with imagery.»
